Terms of use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These are the house rules for Vouched for Crew. They're here to keep the site honest and useful for everyone. By joining, you agree to them.
Who runs it
Vouched for Crew is run by Christopher Hodge, trading as FGVFX, in the UK. Contact: enquiries@fgvfx.com. How your information is handled is in the privacy notice.
Joining
- You must be 16 or over.
- Use your real name and your own LinkedIn, Google or email account. One account per person.
- If you list a company or team, you must be allowed to act for it.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
- Your account belongs to the email address you sign in with. If you lose access to that email and haven't set a backup email, your account can't be recovered or moved for you.
Your profile
- Everything on it must be true: your roles, level, work history, education and memberships.
- Memberships and "I hire crew" are your own declaration. Don't claim what isn't yours.
- Respect NDAs. Keep show and project names vague if they're confidential, e.g. "Feature film, 2025".
Recommendations
- Only recommend people whose work you know first-hand.
- Be honest. Recommendations here are positive only: if you can't recommend someone, simply don't.
- No paying, swapping or trading for recommendations, and no recommending yourself through other accounts.
- Don't name confidential shows or include anything private about the person.
Contact, pencil-ins and shared lists
- Use them for genuine work only. No spam, sales pitches, chain messages or harassment.
- There are daily limits on how many messages you can send.
- A pencil-in is a soft hold, not a booking or a contract.
- Any job, rate or agreement is between you and the other person. Vouched for Crew isn't an agency, isn't part of any deal, and doesn't check anyone's work, rates or right to work.
Members aged 16 and 17
Treat younger members as you would on any professional set: only contact them about genuine work, training or placements, and keep it professional. Anything else will get your account removed, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Reporting and removal
- If something looks wrong, such as a fake profile, a dishonest recommendation or an unwanted message, email enquiries@fgvfx.com.
- I can edit or remove content, and pause or close accounts, that break these rules. Where it's fair to, I'll tell you why and give you a chance to reply.
- You can leave at any time. See the privacy notice for how your information is deleted.
The small print
- The site is provided as it is. I work to keep it running and accurate, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Profiles and recommendations are written by members. I'm not responsible for what they say, or for hiring decisions made using them.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited.
- The site is free for now. If that changes, members will be told well in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Changes
If these rules change, I'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, I'll email members.
